A young widow would come to her husband’s grave every week to water the flowers.

A young widow visited her husband’s grave each week to tend to the flowers. Each time, she would depart with her back facing the grave. A young man, who had been watching her for some time, approached her and remarked:

“I admire the deep respect you show for your late husband. It is quite lovely that you do not turn your back as you leave.”

To which she replied, “My husband often said that I possess a figure that could awaken the dead. I prefer to be cautious!”
