America’s most beloved family have been involved in a fatal plane crash

A devastating plane crash claimed the lives of seven members of the Nelon family, a cherished gospel music group. The deceased included Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, her spouse Nathan Kistler, family associate Melanie Hodges, as well as the pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa. The sole survivor, Autumn Nelon Streetman, was not aboard the aircraft and expressed her gratitude through a heartfelt message, acknowledging the prayers and support she received.

The Nelons were en route to Alaska for the Gaither Homecoming Cruise when their plane tragically went down in Wyoming. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the aircraft descend in flames. Despite the prompt response from emergency services, there were no survivors.

In 2016, the Nelons were honored with induction into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame, recognized for their significant contributions to gospel music with beloved songs such as “I Shall Not Be Moved,” “Come Morning,” and “We Shall Wear a Robe and Crown.” The National Transportation Safety Board is set to conduct an investigation into the incident.
