Pope Francis, aged 88, has been receiving treatment for double pneumonia since February 14, 2025. He is currently resting and conducting his work from his bed at Gemelli University Hospital in Rome, where he is undergoing both motor physiotherapy and respiratory therapy.

Despite his health challenges, Pope Francis remains dedicated to fulfilling his papal responsibilities. He expressed his gratitude to volunteers and healthcare professionals for their “miracle of tenderness,” acknowledging their unwavering commitment and care.

For the fourth consecutive Sunday, he was unable to deliver his weekly blessing. Nevertheless, he conveyed a message of appreciation to those who provide love and support to the sick and their families.

In his absence, Cardinal Michael Czerny led the Holy Year Mass for volunteers, sharing the Pope’s words of thanks with the attendees.

As of today, he continues his therapies while actively engaging in his role, offering messages of hope and encouragement.
