Country singer Sundance Head, recognized for his appearances on American Idol (2007) and The Voice (2016), sustained injuries in a shooting incident at his ranch in Texas. His agent, Trey Newman, has confirmed that he was airlifted to a medical facility; however, his injuries are not deemed life-threatening.

As reported by his wife, Misty, the accident transpired while he was in the process of retrieving his .22 rifle. The weapon slipped from his hands, struck his Jeep, and discharged accidentally. The bullet became embedded in fatty tissue but fortunately did not impact any critical organs. Although emergency surgery was a possibility, medical professionals may choose to leave the bullet in situ.

Misty has appealed to fans for prayers, urging “Prayer Warriors” to assist in his recovery. At the time of the incident, Head was hunting alone, with intentions for his family to join him later. His precise condition remains uncertain.
