Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming shares heartbreaking video of him after his dementia diagnosis

Bruce Willis and Emma Heming have been married for over ten years. Heming remains steadfast in her commitment to her vows of marriage, in both sickness and health, even as her husband faces the challenges of frontotemporal dementia.

Despite the circumstances, she often reflects on memories of Bruce during his healthier days.

Following the diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, Emma Heming has taken proactive steps. She is working closely with dementia specialists to ensure that her husband receives the best possible care. Recently, she shared a photograph on Instagram featuring herself alongside Teepa Snow, an expert who assists families in navigating dementia. Heming expressed that Snow is equipping her with additional resources for her “dementia care toolbox” by imparting new skills.

The narrative of Bruce Willis’s eleven-year marriage to Demi Moore remains largely untold. Despite his serious condition, Bruce Willis continues to display remarkable resilience, as seen in the teaser for “Detective Knight.”

A heartfelt message regarding her father’s declining health has been penned by Bruce Willis’s daughter.

Heming is clearly dedicated to providing her husband with optimal care. This week, she discovered Instagram’s latest feature, which showcases past images and videos shared on the platform. Among these memories was a tribute she had posted on Twitter a year prior.

She re-shared the video with a new caption, expressing her delight: “What’s this new Memory thingy on IG!? Omg, my biggest fan. I’m in love with him.”

In the video, Bruce is seen expressing enthusiasm for his wife’s skincare line, Cocobaba. It is evident that Heming is reminiscing about a time when Willis was in better health. Recently, images surfaced of the actor enjoying coffee while out in Los Angeles, marking a rare public appearance since his initial aphasia diagnosis.
Concerning Bruce Willis’s health and diagnosis, the family has demonstrated remarkable openness and transparency. They previously shared a message on Instagram detailing the action star’s health status. In a letter to the editor, his daughter Rumer Willis expressed, “Our family wishes to begin by conveying our heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love, support, and wonderful stories we have received since announcing Bruce’s initial diagnosis.”

She further elaborated, “In this spirit, we would like to provide an update regarding our cherished husband, father, and friend, as we now possess a more comprehensive understanding of his condition.”

“Since we disclosed Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in the spring of 2022, his condition has advanced, and we now have a more precise diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (FTD).”

Despite the challenges, she noted their appreciation for finally receiving an accurate diagnosis for Willis. Reports indicate that the actor faced difficulties with his cognitive functions, prompting directors who had collaborated with him to simplify tasks for his benefit.

The cast and crew of his final film, White Elephant, mentioned that they would “feed” him lines, and at times, he struggled to comprehend the words, merely imitating what he had been instructed.

A crew member remarked on the situation, stating, “It was less of an annoyance and more about how we could avoid making Bruce look bad. Someone would provide him with a line, and he didn’t grasp its meaning. He was essentially being puppeted.”

We extend our best wishes to the Willis family as they navigate this challenging period. Please join us in offering them your thoughts and prayers.
