Dog Rescued and Rushed to Vet After Owner Left Him Outside in Freezing Conditions

The Animal Charity of Ohio has issued an urgent call for assistance following the rescue of a dog discovered frozen to the ground and concealed by its owners.

On Wednesday afternoon, the charity swiftly transported the dog to Medvet Hospital, where humane officers had to carry him due to his legs being “solid ice,” rendering him unable to stand.

A Struggle for Survival
Upon reaching the emergency veterinary hospital, the circumstances were critical. The dog’s body temperature was so low that it could not be detected by the thermometer.

In spite of the bleak outlook, the medical team at the hospital is committed to doing everything within their power to save this senior dog, who has been endearingly named Riser, inspired by a local restaurant often visited by the humane agents.
