Drunk NFL fans push girl with ‘I beat cancer’ sign down stairs

A mother has made a startling allegation that intoxicated fans pushed her eight-year-old daughter, a cancer survivor, down the stairs during her first NFL game. This alarming event reportedly occurred on Sunday, December 1, involving supporters of the Buffalo Bills, who are facing backlash online for their behavior. The child, Mia DeCamilla, attended the game between the Bills and the San Francisco 49ers with her parents. According to her mother, Mikey, Mia, who has survived embryonal sarcoma, was shoved down the stairs by a group of inebriated Bills fans.

Mikey DeCamilla expressed her outrage on social media, sharing a photo of Mia holding a sign that states: “I BEAT CANCER! MY FIRST NFL GAME!” In her Facebook post, she lamented, “Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than intended. Yes, the Niners are losing, but we had to involve the police because a drunken Bills fan thought it was acceptable to push our eight-year-old daughter, Warrior Mia DeCamilla, down the stairs in section 312!”

The distressed mother further stated, “If you identify as this type of Bills Mafia fan, please unfollow our family immediately. I hope the individual who thought it was amusing to push a child, who stood in the cold with her cancer-free sign, feels it was worth it for your victory!”

Unsurprisingly, Mikey’s post gained significant traction online, largely due to the distressing nature of her claims. Additionally, a GoFundMe campaign created by Mia’s family during her cancer treatment has resurfaced, having raised nearly $34,000 to date.

The GoFundMe page details Mia’s journey, stating: “In mid-January 2022, Mia was diagnosed with childhood undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver. She underwent four months of pre-surgery chemotherapy. On May 23, 2022, Mia underwent a 12-hour surgery to remove part of her liver, followed by eight weeks of chemotherapy, ultimately achieving remission on July 25.”
It subsequently states: “In order to alleviate the financial burden on the family and to make daily expenses such as food in the hospital, fuel, bills, and mortgage more manageable, I am requesting any donations, which would be greatly appreciated.

“Although we, as outsiders, may feel powerless and unable to provide substantial support to the family, this represents the most significant and effective way we can assist them during this challenging time. All contributions will be directed to Mia’s family for their immediate needs. With both of Mia’s parents being veterans of the Marine Corps, and her mother currently unemployed to care for Mia, any assistance they receive will be immensely valuable.

“Mia exemplifies strength, bravery, resilience, kindness, and beauty, and she will ultimately triumph over cancer.”
