During a heated exchange at the White House, Donald Trump warned President Zelenskyy that his actions were “gambling with World War III.”

Trump warned his counterpart in Kyiv, stating, “Do not dictate our emotions,” while Vance countered that Ukraine was leading Americans on a “propaganda tour.”
“We are working to address a concern. Please refrain from telling us how we will feel,” Trump admonished.
“You have no authority to dictate our feelings. We will feel empowered and joyful. Your current situation is not favorable. You have allowed yourself to be in a dire predicament.
“With the threat of World War III, you are taking a significant risk. Furthermore, your actions are profoundly disrespectful to a nation that has supported you far more than many believe is warranted.
“Have you ever shown appreciation?” Vance pressed.
In October, you visited Pennsylvania to campaign for the opposition. You should express gratitude to the President of the United States for his efforts to assist your country.
Trump interjected again after Zelensky accused Vance of speaking “too loudly.”
He is not speaking too loudly. Zelensky attempted to interject, but the president responded, “No, no, you have spoken enough,” adding, “Your country is in serious trouble.”
“Your nation is in grave danger. This is not a situation you are winning. Thanks to us, you have a significant chance of survival.” Trump continued his remarks as Zelensky tried to interrupt once more.
“Through this ineffective president [Joe Biden], we have provided you with $350 billion. We supplied you with military equipment. This conflict would have concluded in two weeks without our military support.”
Trump further told Zelensky, “You lack the leverage, so you must express gratitude.”
“Your citizens are perishing. You are running low on soldiers. Listen, you continue to say, ‘I do not want a cease-fire.’ A cease-fire is not what I seek.
“It will be a challenging agreement to reach, as the mindsets must shift,” Trump concluded.A deal must be reached, or we will go our separate ways, and should that occur, you will have to contend with the consequences, Trump stated. He remarked, “This is going to be great television, I will say that,” before asking the reporters to leave. “I don’t anticipate it will be a pleasant outcome,” he added.
The leader of the free world announced the conclusion of President Zelensky’s visit nearly an hour after the press pool had exited the Oval Office.
“I have determined that President Zelensky is not ready for peace if the United States is involved, as he perceives our participation as providing him a significant advantage in negotiations,” Trump expressed on Truth Social, further noting that “it is remarkable what emotions can reveal.” I seek peace, not leverage. He has overlooked the esteemed Oval Office of the United States. When he is prepared for peace, he is welcome to return.
After spending two hours and twenty minutes in the West Wing, Zelensky swiftly exited to a waiting vehicle, the administration’s warnings still resonating in his mind.
“Thank you, America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit,” Zelensky tweeted in a conciliatory tone on X forty minutes post-departure. He expressed gratitude to the American people, Congress, and @POTUS, emphasizing their commitment to achieving the just and lasting peace that Ukraine requires.
As he left the White House for Mar-a-Lago on Friday night, Trump reiterated his stance, telling reporters that Zelensky “has significantly overestimated his position.”
“I aim to achieve peace.” We do not wish to engage in prolonged conflict. The president clarified, “Our objective is peace.” “I am not pursuing what [Zelensky desires]. He wishes to continue fighting indefinitely. Our aim is to halt the loss of life.”
