For the Cost of an Iphone He made a House of only 89 Squares, but Wait Until you See Inside

His friends erupted in laughter upon seeing his remarkably small house. However, their amusement turned to embarrassment once they stepped inside. For the price of a smartphone, this young prodigy constructed a home!

At just 13 years old, Luke Thiull is far from ordinary.

While many adolescents are preoccupied with crushes or sports, Luke dedicated his time to creating something extraordinary.

For the cost of an iPhone, Luke from Iowa built his dream house in his backyard! Come take a look inside!

Unlike most teenagers who immerse themselves in screens, Luke opted for a more hands-on approach, demonstrating his commitment through hard work.

He shares his journey on his YouTube channel, detailing his intense desire to construct a house for himself.

After considerable thought, planning, and research, Luke brought his vision to life. It took him approximately a year to gather the necessary funds and materials for his dream home. He earned money by mowing lawns, organizing fundraisers, and undertaking various tasks to secure his investment, embodying the spirit of a true entrepreneur.

He received some assistance with the electrical work from a man whose garage he helped clean—truly a jack of all trades!

Notably, 75% of the house is constructed from recycled materials and leftover items from his grandmother’s home, while the front door was a gift from his uncle. The entire structure measures about 89 square feet, with a length of 10 feet and a width of approximately 5.5 feet. It is equipped with electricity but lacks plumbing, meaning there is no shower or sink at this time.

Luke expressed, “I appreciated the minimalism and wanted a house without a hefty mortgage.”

He has uploaded numerous videos on his YouTube channel discussing the project, which has piqued the interest of many viewers. While Luke receives significant support from his parents, his father, Greg, made it clear that Luke would be responsible for most of the expenses himself.
Greg remarked that it provided an opportunity for a young person to engage in activities beyond merely playing video games or participating in sports, emphasizing the valuable life lessons it imparts.

The residence represents an ideal retreat for any teenager, offering a private space for solitude and reflection. It is equipped with a microwave, television, and a lofted sleeping area. Additionally, there is a barbecue grill in the backyard.

Luke completes his homework in this personal space, and on certain nights, he is permitted to stay overnight as well. Such aspirations during childhood are likely to propel him toward significant achievements in the future. He also aims to motivate others, regardless of their age.

He expressed, “I aspire to demonstrate to children that it is feasible to create at this age.”
