Hawn shared on Kelly Ripa’s Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast that they felt compelled to explore safer alternatives, such as Palm Desert, in light of the rising crime rates in Los Angeles.

She recounted the frightening events, which involved intruders entering their residence and stealing valuables by breaching a secured door.

Despite their attempts to move past the initial incidents, another burglary occurred four months later, leaving Hawn feeling extremely anxious and on edge.

These events, part of a broader trend of high-profile break-ins in 2024 that have impacted other celebrities like Corinna Kopf and King Bach, prompted the couple to reevaluate their future in Los Angeles. Hawn indicated that the allure of the city no longer outweighed the associated risks, leading them to prioritize their safety and peace of mind over the glamorous lifestyle.
