Jennifer Garner ‘proud to show off’ her boyfriend – and you might recognize him

Few celebrity couples have garnered as much media attention as Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. They were among the most prominent and influential duos in the early 2000s tabloid landscape, and their renewed romance after approximately two decades has brought joy to many of their fans. This rekindling has also delighted hopeless romantics and enthusiasts of pop culture.

However, amidst the frenzy surrounding Lopez and Affleck, the presence of his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, has been somewhat overlooked. Affleck and Garner finalized their divorce in 2018, having initially separated in 2015. They share three children: Violet, aged 17, Seraphina, aged 14, and Samuel, aged 10.

Reports suggest that Garner began dating her on-again, off-again partner, businessman John Miller, approximately six months prior to the finalization of her divorce. Miller, who prefers to maintain a low profile, is an attorney and the CEO of the fast-food chain CaliBurger and its parent company, CaliGroup. Previously, he held the position of Vice President of Intellectual Property at Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals.

Miller was married to American violinist Caroline Campbell from 2005 until their divorce in 2014, which was finalized about a month after Garner’s separation from Affleck. He and his ex-wife have a daughter, Violet, and a son, Quest.

Despite being together for five years, Miller and Garner choose to stay out of the limelight, leading a more private life away from public scrutiny.

“She appreciates how little he seeks the spotlight or engages in the Hollywood scene, which is quite different from Ben and J.Lo’s dynamic,” a source informed Us Weekly. “They are not the type to pose for cameras or obsess over which events to attend together; that simply isn’t their approach.”

The source further remarked: “They find happiness in being a low-key couple and do not require external validation to affirm their bond. This is not to imply they are disparaging others; it is just not their way.”
Miller and Garner experienced a brief separation between 2020 and 2021, attributed to the fact that “he was ready for marriage, and she just couldn’t commit,” as reported by an individual close to the couple.

“John is genuinely affectionate and attentive, yet he does not overwhelm her… He respects Jen’s need for space while being supportive during challenging times or when she desires spontaneity. They have shared some remarkable getaways together, which is a significant aspect of their relationship,” another source commented regarding the couple.

When Affleck and Lopez married in 2022, the media was keen to observe Garner’s response. Garner and her partner were seen enjoying themselves and smiling, indicating that she was unfazed by her ex’s wedding in Las Vegas.

In January 2023, Entertainment Tonight released images of Affleck “happily conversing with John.”

“Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are demonstrating that former partners can maintain a cordial relationship! Jennifer and her boyfriend John Miller were seen arriving at their residence, where Ben was happily engaged in conversation with John. The couple was also spotted in Santa Barbara, shopping in Montecito’s Village,” the publication reported.

As they grow more comfortable with publicly displaying their relationship, Garner and Miller have been seen openly expressing their affection through kisses, hand-holding, and even during early morning runs.

“Jen is no longer as reserved as she once was with John, as they have developed a greater sense of comfort and security in their relationship,” a source revealed. “She takes pride in showcasing him.”

A source informed US Weekly in 2023 that the couple is “in a great place” and noted, “They previously made efforts to maintain a low profile, but both have become very secure in their relationship and how it has evolved.”
On the occasion of Garner’s 50th birthday, the family gathered all of their children, marking a significant milestone. Friends of the couple have indicated that discussions regarding marriage have taken place; however, they are not in a hurry, and the actress is “perfectly content savoring and appreciating their relationship…without the need for a formal designation.”

“Jen and John share a truly unique bond,” another source remarked. “After experiencing so much public attention during her marriage to Affleck, she truly values her time with someone who is not in the limelight.”
