MAGA wants to sic DOGE on Amy Coney Barrett after Supreme Court blocks spending freeze

Right-wing factions are intensifying their criticism of Amy Coney Barrett following her alignment with Chief Justice John Roberts and the liberal minority to prevent President Donald Trump from halting nearly $2 billion in foreign aid. The Supreme Court’s brief ruling on Wednesday reaffirmed a lower court’s decision mandating the Trump administration to compensate contractors for completed foreign aid projects.

Barrett’s choice to diverge from Trump and Elon Musk’s significant cost-reduction strategies has incited outrage among right-wing commentators on social media, with some suggesting that Musk’s DOGE cryptocurrency should be directed at her, despite the court’s intended impartiality.

“Perhaps it’s time for DOGE to investigate Amy Coney Barrett @elonmusk,” one critic speculated on X.

“If DOGE were unleashed on John Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett, I wonder what findings would emerge?” another user remarked.

On Truth Social, the platform established by Trump for free speech, right-wing users swiftly labeled Barrett—appointed by Trump in 2020—as a “DEI hire.”

“She was expected to be conservative. Instead, she appears to be a paid deep state DEI hire,” one individual expressed.

“Amy Coney Barrett exemplifies the risks associated with Republican DEI,” another commentator concluded.

Additionally, one critic referred to her appointment as “definitely Trump’s worst decision.”

Some detractors even brought up Barrett’s choice to adopt two children from Haiti.

“Are we truly at a point where the majority of the ‘conservative’ electorate does not see this as an immediately disqualifying red flag?” one individual questioned, sharing an image of Barrett with her family.

“Why does ACB have two adopted children from Haiti?” another user inquired in response to the court’s ruling on foreign aid.
While right-wing individuals express their outrage regarding Barrett’s decision, she is receiving praise from certain critics of Trump.

“I did not anticipate this, but I am increasingly convinced that Amy Coney Barrett may be the one to preserve the Union,” stated one individual.
