Michelle Obama Makes Head-Turning New Year’s Statement

Former First Lady Michelle Obama recently shared a message on her social media platforms expressing her concerns regarding the challenges faced in recent months, seemingly alluding to the results of the November election.
“I understand that the past few months have been tough for many of us, leading to feelings of anxiety and uncertainty. However, this holiday season brings numerous reasons to remain optimistic,” she stated.
“As we approach the end of 2024, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the initiatives undertaken by the @ObamaFoundation to empower young changemakers globally. I encourage you to take a look,” she continued.
In a related context, viewers of former President Barack Obama’s address at the Obama Foundation’s 2024 Democracy Forum last month noted a significant moment when he made assertions about Republicans that seemed more in line with his Democratic views.
Some commentators suggested that the statements made by the 44th president would be dismissed as wild conspiracy theories and ‘false claims’ of ‘election fraud’ had they been expressed by a Republican figure.
Additionally, critics accused the former president of hypocrisy, pointing out that he accused Republican members of engaging in behaviors that Democrats have also exhibited while in power, such as “weaponizing” the Justice Department and “politicizing” the military.
“Pluralism relies on all parties adhering to a specific set of rules,” Obama remarked during his speech. “What occurs when the opposing side has consistently demonstrated a lack of interest in following those rules?” He further noted that there may be instances when one side attempts to manipulate the system to secure a lasting hold on power, seemingly realizing mid-sentence that he was approaching a revelation regarding his party’s future political strategies.
The speaker asserted that there are various methods employed to undermine democracy, including the suppression of votes, the politicization of the Armed Forces, and the manipulation of the judiciary and criminal justice system to target political adversaries. He emphasized that pluralism does not permit passive acceptance of such actions, stating, “In these situations, a boundary has been crossed, and it is imperative that we remain resolute, vocal, and organized.”
Numerous individuals took to social media to criticize Obama’s statements, which they perceived as reminiscent of the actions taken by the outgoing Biden-Harris administration.
Kevin Sorbo, known for his role in “Hercules,” remarked that Obama “almost broke character for a moment.”
Conservative commentator Collin Rugg responded to Sorbo, indicating that the “pause was significant.”
Reports suggest that Obama, alongside former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, played a crucial role in persuading President Joe Biden to withdraw from his reelection campaign following a disastrous debate performance against now-President-elect Donald Trump.
Actor George Clooney, a close associate of Obama, is reportedly upset with the former president, feeling exploited after he penned an op-ed earlier in the summer urging Biden to step aside.
“George is infuriated with Obama for vanishing after the electoral setback and leaving him to manage the fallout from advocating the strategy with his Hollywood colleagues,” an unnamed source from the entertainment industry disclosed to RadarOnline in December.
“George feels deceived and has vowed not to serve as anyone’s political pawn again,” another source informed the outlet.
It is also reported that Obama “endorsed” the article to exert pressure on his former running mate.
Furthermore, Vice President Kamala Harris is not intending to “fade away quietly” following her defeat in the 2024 presidential election.
In a recent segment on CNN, reporter Isaac Dovere disclosed that Vice President Kamala Harris has been privately informing her supporters of her contemplation regarding a gubernatorial run in California for 2026 or a presidential bid in 2028. Additionally, it has been reported that Harris is reluctant for her “final act” to be the certification of Donald Trump’s election win over her.
“We have not observed or heard much from Vice President Kamala Harris since her electoral defeat last month,” stated CNN’s Manu Raju to the audience. “However, the Democratic Party continues to grapple with the aftermath of Trump’s victory.”
