In a touching statement, her family expressed, “Beautiful, energetic, and positive to the end, she will be deeply missed by numerous relatives, friends, and her beloved dogs Benny and Kowalski.”

Her manager, Ben Padua, encapsulated her spirit succinctly: “We are profoundly saddened to bid farewell to our beautiful, soulful, hilariously funny, and elegantly audacious client. Jill was a true firecracker of an actress, possessing comedic timing reminiscent of a Marx Brothers film and the glamour of Hollywood’s golden age.” Despite her vibrant on-screen presence, Jacobson disclosed in a September interview that she had been privately contending with esophageal cancer for two and a half years. I just want to keep going, I want to help people.”
