This straight, happily married man loves to wear heels and skirts in his everyday wardrobe

Mark Bryan, a 61-year-old engineer from Germany, actively challenges conventional gender norms.

Originally designed for men in the 10th century to enhance height and style, high heels have become predominantly associated with women. Mark represents a growing number of contemporary men who are reclaiming this fashionable footwear for those beyond the female demographic.

As a father of three and a robotics engineer, Mark divides his time between his professional responsibilities and parenting. At first glance, one might not suspect that he has a significant social media presence; however, the German native has recently gained considerable attention online due to his striking outfits and photographs.

He has garnered nearly 660,000 followers on Instagram, showcasing his unique style that often features pumps, boots, and skirts. Alongside his eclectic wardrobe, Mark articulates his belief that clothing should not be confined by gender norms. He prefers skirts over dresses, allowing him to pair them with more traditionally masculine tops.

Mark argues that skirts offer a broader range of options compared to the typical trousers or slacks worn by most men in professional settings. His children are supportive of his choices, as he has raised them with the understanding that clothing does not define one’s sexuality or gender identity. His daughter, in particular, eagerly anticipates the day she can borrow some of her father’s garments.

His wife also backs his fashion decisions and assists him in selecting outfits. Nevertheless, Mark has faced a range of negative reactions, both online and in person. He often finds himself reminding others that their comments would likely differ if he were dressed in conventional trousers.
