Walmart is closing a batch of stores in 2025 — here’s the full list

Walmart will be shutting down 22 retail stores throughout the United States this year, with four of those closures occurring in Chicago, due to unsatisfactory financial results at each location.

In its most recent announcement, Walmart confirmed on Monday that a store in Richmond, Virginia, will close on July 28.

“We appreciate the customers who have allowed us the opportunity to serve them at our Brook Road Neighborhood Market location,” stated Walmart spokesperson Felicia McCranie in an email to Insider.
