Quality
Curved shrimp may suggest prolonged storage or improper handling, which can adversely affect their texture and flavor. The curvature may also result from repeated freezing and thawing processes.
Appearance and Cooking
Visually, straight shrimp are often more attractive, particularly when included in a dish, and they generally cook more uniformly. In contrast, curved shrimp may not achieve the same level of even cooking.
