Elon Musk claimed he wouldn’t delete the Twitter account that published his private jet’s location tracking, but the twitter ElonJet account has been suspended. The social media business has also released new safety guidelines and the prohibition.
Twitter Bans ElonJet And Changes Its Terms Of Service
Before the company revealed its new rules, screenshots of the banned ElonJet account and news articles about the ban circulated on Twitter. On December 14, the changes were made public.
In most cases, the revised terms say you cannot share someone’s live location. According to Twitter, there is a possibility of physical injury. As a result, the business will disable accounts that disseminate this data. Twitter has banned both the Jack Sweeney-created personal account and the ElonJet account. This has happened despite Musk’s promise that he would uphold free speech by not blocking the account in November 2022. The implied account in Musk’s tweet is Elonjet presently banned, according to a Community Note that has been added to it.
Why Was The ElonJet Account Banned On Twitter?
What then changed? Musk claimed that someone had trailed a car the night before, believing he was inside. Paraphrased: They supposedly scaled the paraphrase Musk’s son was in the car, but not Musk himself. Musk has stated that he is pursuing Sweeney and other businesses. However, he did not say whether the person used the ElonJet account in any way.
This event occurred right after Twitter’s new policies became public. The new Twitter conditions allow you to share location data for historical events, public appearances, and other purposes. But not for travel routes. You are not exempt from a Twitter ban simply because this information might be publically available, as in the case of flight route data. The decision has drawn criticism, especially in light of Twitter’s decision to restore accounts that had been terminated and Elon Musk’s prior statements supporting free speech that is not prohibited.
